Sterling silver headpins are a must-have for jewelry designers because it offers unlimited design capabilities. Headpins are basically a short length of wire, of varying lengths and gauge thicknesses, that ends with a flat head that is designed to stop and secure beads, gemstones or crystals preventing them from falling off.
The half-hard wire is easy to bend the other end into a loop so you can make components or dangles for any of your custom designs whether it’s for earrings, bracelets, necklaces or pendants., etc. The headpin may need straightening before using it. Because the metal is half-hard, it can be reshaped easily. A good trick to reshape the head pin is to roll it between two flat surfaces, or pull through a nylon jaw pliers to remove any kinks or bends.
