The sterling silver pinch bail features a smooth design with a bright finish.  The pinch bail will accept briolets, beads, top-drilled stones or pendants up to 6mm wide. Simply open the bail, trim the pegs as needed and then squeeze or pinch the outer portion until the facing pegs begin to enter the holes of the bead/pendant. Slowly close the bail until both points are closed completely inside the hole. For a permanent mounting, use jeweller's epoxy to secure the pegs inside the holes. The bail will accept cording or chain up to 7mm thick (depending on how far away from the edge of your piece the hole sits).

The pinch bail is usually placed in the center of a necklace or used to attach charms, pendants, or stones to give your jewelry creations a professional look.  It can accent or transform any jewelry designs during the making or after the design is completed.

Bails aspire to jewelers, jewelry designers and artists for the elegant transformation and polished finish they bring to many jewelry designs. They don’t need be permanently attached; they can be used interchangeably by attaching them to a lobster clasp. Bails come in a variety of styles and sizes.
