The sterling silver bead tip has a large opening and looks like a hinged cup that is used to conceal knots, crimp beads, and the end of a chain before your connect them to a clasp. It has a metal loop at the top which is used for attaching to a clasp or jump ring or split ring. It is most suitable to use with multiple strands.

The bead tip folds over the knots, beads, or chains giving it a professional and neat looking finish for your jewelry designs. Once into position, you simply squeeze the bead tip gently with a pair of flat nosed pliers to close it. You can add a little bit of glue inside the cup for added security and add a seed bead for extra anchorage before closing the bead tip.

The bead tip is also known as a calotte or clam shell.
