Oval sterling silver pinch bails have been dangled from earwires to create these versatile bail earrings. The pinch bails have an oval front with a flat tab on the back so these are very easy to set your slabs or stones in. The oval on the front is 6mm wide by 8.5mm tall, and the tab on the back is about 2.5mm wide. The widest you could comfortably open this pinch bail is about 4.5mm at the bottom, tapering up to about 2mm at the top. The pegs  are 0.8mm (20ga) thick, and are about 5.5mm from the top of the bail so you'd only be able to attach things that are up to 4mm thick, with a hole no further than about 4.5mm from the edge of your stone.

Pinch bail have two small pegs that you pull apart gently to open and pinch back in to place to close.  These are a unique choice for many jewelers, jewelry designers and artists for making fabulous earrings.
